Powerless Egypt?

How powerless is Egypt?
The government does definitely seem powerless in the face of Israel or the US...but then is it really powerless or are its views voluntarily aligned with those of Israel?
Will the signs of unrest amongst civilians and reported unrest in the police and army lead to declaring the start of the final days of Mubarak's rule? Probably not
Is Mubarak in his final days? Probably he is...
