Kefaya Website

Yasmine Khater pointed out that kefaya.com is no longer the website for the Egyptian Kefaya movement and that now it is http://harakamasria.com/. (Khawater asked for recognition on my blog for her help in pointing out my mistake :):) )

This website has both English and Arabic articles, however they are different ones...so the website is of most value to people who read both languages.

It is really impressive how on some of the Arab satellite channels, some individuals are interviewed as a member of the Kefaya movement. I never thought they would have been that open about it...

I am not decided on whether I agree with what this movement is asking for, however, I do admire their determination and courage...and as Assem has been saying lately..."the devil you know is better than the one you dont!"

i have been thinkin about that quote about the devil you know if better than the one you dont, and as much as i agree with it, i dont think its the way to go.. Change is always difficult, but it could be worthwhile.

I am not sure if egypt is ready for this. thats why i am impressed at how rapidly the campaigns have grown and it shows a dedicated bunch of people who are pushing for a difference still confused

Yasmine, i dont understand how the increase in the number ofcampaigns shows how the organizers are confused?

On the other hand i think the reason we ar eput in this situation is the lack of information in an age were there is excess information. For example we know that Al Ghad Party is an opposition party but we dont know their stand on many social and national security issues. The problem with alot of the opposition is that they want change, they know how they can get it but they dont say what will they replace it with.
